I am Lead Partner in the Family Law team and specialise in working with private clients and family businesses using wealth-planning tools such as Pre-Nuptial Agreements and Shareholders' Agreements, as well as advising on complex financial disputes arising between spouses or cohabitants. I also help to resolve living arrangements for children, including those related to international relocation cases.
I started my legal career as a trainee solicitor at Simkins Solicitors in 1992, moving to a local Cirencester firm in 1996 where I spent the next 15 years specialising in all forms of litigation, becoming a Partner in 2000. I then moved to a top 200 commercial law firm in Cheltenham, spending 5 years building a new Family Law team, before joining Tanners in 2016, again to build a new Family Law team.
My broad experience in litigation and as an owning partner in both private client and commercial law practices gives me the skills to look after private individuals and businesses in a wide range of matters. I handle complex and difficult situations in a determined but sensitive manner, working in partnership with my clients towards getting the best possible result for them.
Having originally grown up as a farmer’s daughter in Pembrokeshire, South Wales, I have now lived in Cirencester for 20 years forming a strong bond with the local area and community.
