I have specialised for over 30 years in the financial aspects of divorce and separation.  Clients tell me that they value me for my good judgement, calm analytical approach, strong personal commitment and empathy as well as my technical ability.  My expertise lies in advising in challenging or high value financial disputes involving valuable properties, complex business structures, pensions, trusts or foreign assets.  I also help clients to protect their own and their family’s resources as they enter into relationships, with cohabitation, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

I consider being a family lawyer to be something of a vocation: it is important to me to support and understand my clients, to provide sound and honest advice and to generate pragmatic and constructive outcomes.  I am a qualified and experienced collaborative lawyer, endorsing solution driven, non-court based negotiations, though I am a firm and confident litigator if the case demands it.

Away from the office, I am a keen musician, playing the violin and performing regularly with local groups and orchestras. I love reading, walking and anything to do with horses.
