Solicitor

I joined the Tanners Family Law team in 2022 as a Solicitor having previously worked for 7 years in regional and national firms out of Bristol, qualifying in 2018. My focus has always been in family law, providing clear and practical advice on the legal matters arising from relationship breakdowns.

Whilst amicable settlements are the preferred resolution to any dispute, I work in concert with my clients to offer pragmatic solutions and should it come to litigation, I will continue to offer constructive advice and tailor my approach to achieve the best possible outcome for my clients.

As a specialist in complex children matters I have extensive experience in making Children Act applications and can advise on Child Arrangements Orders, domestic/international relocation disputes, fact-finding hearings and cases where serious allegations of harm are made or there might be parental alienation. I can also assist you with Enforcement and/or Variation applications should these be necessary. In addition, I advise on Prohibited Steps Orders that might be used to prevent a parent removing a child from the jurisdiction and can assist parties make Specific Issue applications to resolve a particular problem such as schooling or a child’s name.

I am also experienced in advising on Divorce/Dissolution proceedings and obtaining financial settlements for modest to high net worth clients and cases where there are pensions and business assets. Should you have a financial order already in place but it’s currently failing to be complied with, I can assist you with Enforcement applications.

For those simply looking to the future, I can advise and prepare Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements and Living Together Agreements (also known as cohabitation agreements) as a means to define and protect existing assets.

I also regularly advise on:

  • Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders
  • Cohabitation/property ownership disputes - TOLATA
  • Financial applications in relation to children – Schedule 1
  • Child Maintenance / CMS
  • Annulment

Outside the office, I can be found fixing up our project house and gardening, trying out a new café or hiking on the Ridgeway.
